Anyone who works with children or is around children on a regular basis should know how to respond to medical emergencies that children or infants may face. Knowing how to respond to these situations when they involve adults is not always very helpful when the victim is a child. First aid and CPR techniques for children have been modified to accommodate their smaller and more vulnerable physiques.

Certification

Upon completion of the course, students will be expected to demonstrate the skills learned during the session as well as successfully complete a multiple choice exam (75% minimum necessary to pass). Certification in Emergency Child Care is valid for three years.
