Lane Closure Technician (LCT)

Course Info
The LCT course was developed to provide Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) with the additional skills to create informal traffic control plans and review and modify formal traffic management plans; set up traffic control devices in accordance with the traffic plan and regulations; further understand the
regulations and guidelines put in place by WorkSafe BC and the Ministry
of Transportation; and focus on planning, setting up, and removing
physical work zones and traffic control devices.

NOTE: Participants must achieve a minimum of 75% on the written exam to be certified.  There is no option for a re-write.

• Regulations & standards, including those set out by the Ministry of Transportation, WorkSafe BC & the Motor Vehicle Act
